This hotel's location is the main reason why I usually sleep here when I go to Oslo for business travels. There are no noisy night clubs nearby. Very quiet even though you are very close to everything. The Thon standard is very good. The staff is great. Stay away from the powder coffee in the hotel room though haha, but the coffee in the reception and at breakfast is great.

From the outside this hotel does not seem very appealing, please do not let that put you off. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. All the staff were wonderful, those on reception were very polite and efficient and always smiling. The staff in the breakfast room and the cleaners were fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is clean and also there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Well done everyone at Thon Hotel Munch you are a credit to your employers. I would stay here again.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Centrally located, most of the Tourist attractions are within a short walking distance. Aker Brygge, City Hall at Radhuset, pier for Oslo fjord cruise, Karl Johanson gate, Royal Palace, Akershus fortress, and Noble Peace Museum, all within walking distance. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. They offer outstanding, lavish breakfasts. I never had such an exhaustive breakfast before. Exclusive fish items we got there. All the service personnel are helpful and smiling. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Nice, clean, convenient, service-minded staff, excellent breakfast (a great variety and choice of meals, really delicious). I stayed for 4 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel is located approx. 10 minutes from the National Theatre Station.

Started off in a bad way waiting for the receptionist for 15-20 at check-in. Got to my small single room on the 9th floor and you could see that the building itself was VERY worn. To my pleasure and surprise, the room was clean and the small bed was in fact extremely comfortable. Sadly the sound dampening between the rooms was awful, and I could hear the dialogue from every other room around. Just needed a place for the night so I did not spend too much time at the hotel itself. The TV in my room refused to stay off, so had to battle this through the night. I wasn't able to disconnect the power cable so I gave it up all together. Breakfast the next morning was delightful with a good selection of food. A lot of free seats in the breakfast hall as well. A really good start of the day! Ended my stay with a fire alarm 11 o'clock due to construction work in the basement. Not too keen on walking down the 9 stories to the reception, but not really the hotels fauit.
